Overview

A professional kitchen engineered for the pace, precision and intensity of fine dining.

THE PROJECT

In the heart of Turin, just a few steps from the Mole Antonelliana, Magorabin was for more than twenty years one of the city’s most distinctive contemporary dining destinations. Founded in 2003 by Marcello Trentini and Simona Beltrami, the restaurant earned a Michelin Star and retained it for more than a decade, until its closure was announced in 2025.

THE KOOK SOLUTION

KOOK developed the professional kitchen around the dynamics of service: a central cooking island, custom stainless-steel elements, preparation and refrigeration areas, an operational pass and an integrated extraction system. The goal was a compact, continuous workspace able to support high-intensity service without compromising ergonomics, control or cleanability.

DESIGNED FOR SERVICE

The images show the kitchen in its real operating environment: a brigade in motion, simultaneous cooking, a fully active pass and workstations that must remain accessible under maximum pressure. This is where design becomes performance: every centimetre supports the work of the chef and the brigade.

PRESS & RECOGNITION

Magorabin was widely covered by national food media and guides for its contemporary identity and for Marcello Trentini’s role in Turin’s gastronomic scene. The Italian press also reported the restaurant’s closure in 2025 after 22 years of activity.
